Account details you provide, such as your email address.

Recordings and content you create, including video, audio, titles, and thumbnails. Your screen and camera are captured only while you are actively recording, and only after you grant the browser permission.

Usage data such as basic analytics, device and browser type, and error logs, used to keep the service working.

To provide the service: to store, process, and play back your recordings, to generate shareable links, and to maintain your library. We also use it to operate, secure, and improve Clipnote, and to contact you about your account.

Video files are stored and delivered through third-party hosting and content delivery providers so your recordings play reliably on any device. These providers process content only to deliver the service. Recordings you choose to share are accessible to anyone who has the link.

We do not sell your personal information.

The Clipnote Chrome extension records your screen, camera, and microphone only while you are actively recording, and only after you grant the browser permission. Recordings are uploaded to your Clipnote account and are not accessible to us beyond providing the service.

Signing you in. If you are signed in to clipnotehq.com, the extension reads your Clipnote login session (stored in your clipnotehq.com cookies) so it can upload recordings to your account without a separate sign-in. It reads only Clipnote cookies; it does not read cookies from other websites.

On-page controls. While you record, the extension shows a small recording control bar (timer, pause, stop) on the page you are presenting. To do this it can run on the websites you visit, but it only draws its own controls — it does not read, collect, store, or transmit the content of the pages you visit.

The extension does not sell your data, does not use it for advertising, and does not transfer it to third parties except the hosting providers used to store and deliver your recordings.

You can delete any recording, which removes it from our systems and hosting. You can request access to or deletion of your account information by emailing hello@clipnotehq.com.

We keep recordings and account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Deleted recordings are removed from active systems promptly.
